Central Freight Lines Announces New Wichita Terminal Manager

Wichita, KS March 1, 2005-Less-Than-Truckload carrier Central Freight Lines, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS: CENF) has promoted Brenda McMallow to the position of Terminal Manager at its Wichita Kansas facility. McMallow, who has 20 years of LTL experience, originally joined Central in January 2004.

In making the announcement, Dan Clark, Northern Division Vice President, commented, Brendas high energy and no quit attitude have helped build strong relationships with new and existing customers. Her demonstrated leadership qualities and her professionalism have earned her this promotion.

As Terminal Manager, McMallow will oversee all sales and operation functions including: delivering quality customer service; maintaining safety and cost-control measures; and processing freight timely and claims free. Her continued development and management of effective processes will lead to increased revenue and productivity.

Having consistently assumed increased responsibilities during her 18 year tenure at Consolidated Freightways, McMallow brings to her new position a strong background in customer service, billing and payroll. As one in a growing number of women employed in trucking management, she looks forward to applying her expertise in her new management role.
