Honor recognizes quality transportation services in 2004
BREA, CA G.I. Trucking Company has won the national honor as LTL (Less Than Truckload) Partner of the Year Award for 2004 from Home Depot Corporation. On October 21, Home Depot presented the trophy commemorating the honor to Rick Mocerin, Corporate Accounts Manager for G.I. Trucking. This was the first time Home Depot honored a carrier with a single national award.
Home Depot partners with a very strong and select group of LTL carriers. Our carrier base performs at a very high level, and G.I. Trucking is always among our leading carriers each year. G.I. Trucking has been very successful at building strong working relationships locally with our stores, regionally with our field logistics team, and corporately with our leadership team, noted John Wooten, Senior Logistics Manager, LTL and Small Package Delivery, for Home Depot Corporation.
The award recognizes G.I. Trucking Company's performance in a number of key quality measurements.
Included in the awards quality report card standards are:

-Low claims ratios
-Service to stores
-Satisfaction with driver services
-Satisfaction with customer service

-Care of subsidiaries such as Home Depot Supply and Expo Warehouse

In 1997 and 1998, G.I. Trucking Company won the Home Depot Regional Carrier of the Year Award for the Western Region. G.I. Trucking primarily provides regional coverage for 13 western states.
According to Fran Glidewell, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for G.I.Trucking, Company, major retailers like Home Depot are demanding even more from all elements of their supply chain from products to delivery.
