Walt's Drive-A-Way Service, Inc. is an Evansville, Indiana based carrier with terminals in Evansville, IN, Memphis, TN, and St. Louis, MO. Walt's is a family owned business operating with common and contract authority as an over the road and Intermodal carrier. Enjoying continued growth over the past 25 years, Walt's currently has in excess of 250 employees.

Their knowledge of transportation is not limited to truckload service. The company operates an intermodal division servicing Chicago, IL, Evansville, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, Memphis, TN, and St. Louis, MO, rail ramp locations, with a working relationship with rail consolidators, steamship lines and freight forwarders. In conjunction with the intermodal division, the company operates a sizable full service container yard with lift capabilities of both loads and empties. Walt's represents a number of steamship lines, housing their containers for import/export and domestic business.

Walt's over the road fleet consists of late model tractors, 48' x 102" van trailers, 53' x 102" van trailers and 53' x102" air-ride van trailers. The company has the ability to drop trailers at your facility for loading and unloading. They coordinate with your customers or suppliers in arranging appointments for delivery or pick-up. All loads are controlled through their central dispatch, enabling the customer to make one phone call to check the status of their freight.

The company goal is to service customers who recognize the importance of and benefits available through a transportation company that can offer all phases and requirements of transportation to meet those needs and they will gladly assist you with all of your transportation needs. Working with third-party consolidators, steamship lines, and freight forwarders, they offer service to the following rail ramp locations. Equipment availability includes steamship containers, domestic containers and rail trailers.

Walt's represents a number of steamship lines housing exportable containers in its sizable full service container yard with lift capabilities of both loads and empties. With Walt's fleet of chassis, COFC shipments become no problem.

The Company Drive-A-Way's operation is its sister company, Meisler Trailer Rentals. The rental operation has several thousand trailers, ground boxes and storage containers available for rent on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. Their full service rentals are available on tandem or single axle tractors for on-site spotting and local use.
