New Penn Drivers Recognized for Safety Achievements

Lebanon, PA - New Penn Motor Express, Inc. recently recognized 21 employees who reached career safety milestones of driving one million miles or two million miles without a preventable accident.

Mr. Todd Mellott of Easton, PA, was recognized for driving two (2) million accident-free miles, which is equivalent to driving the distance around the world at the equator more than 80 times. Mr. Mellott joins Mr. Larry Bender of Elizabethtown, PA and Mr. Robert Yocum of Blain, PA to become the third active New Penn employee who has received the Two Million Miles Accident-Free Safe Driving Award.

New Penn has a total of 71 active employees who have driven at least one million accident-free miles.

The drivers were recognized at a series of safety meetings held throughout the company and hosted by senior management. Their accomplishment is particularly noteworthy as many of the miles were driven in congested metropolitan areas of the Northeast.
