IVORY ACCEPTS LEADERSHIP ROLE AT GRAEBEL CHICAGO CENTER

(Denver, CO).   This week, Graebel announced 35-year industry veteran Ben Ivory, will assume the Senior Vice President and General Manager position of its Chicago-area service center. Previously he was Senior Vice President of Customer Service and Sales for Graebel Movers International, Inc.

Chief Operating Officer, Bill Graebel shared in his companywide announcement, "Ben previously managed our Chicago center and is highly qualified to help this office to be even more relevant to customers and achieve new levels of performance.  As we begin a new era in Graebel, we have a great culture, tremendous capabilities and an extraordinary core of people to build upon.  I look forward to the new opportunities Ben will create for our organization."

Leaving his family's Detroit moving and storage business, Ivory joined Graebel in 1982 as a Chicago commercial salesperson and shortly thereafter, was promoted to Sales Manager then General Manager.  In 1987 he was appointed Regional Vice President and was instrumental in developing business relationships with globally active firms.  Promoted to Vice President of Sales & Customer Service of the company's international division in 1991, Ivory was then elevated in 1994 to Senior Vice President.  Under his leadership this division secured ISO 9002 and FAIM certifications as well as multiple high-volume customers around the globe.

Presently, Ivory serves as Chairman of the FIDI FAIM Steering Committee and is the Chairman of the FIDI U.S. section.  Awarded a Baccalaureate of Science in Business Economics from Marquette University, he also holds Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) designations from the Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and, is a member of the Society of Human Resource Professionals.  Active in the community, Ivory most recently served on the Board of Trustees of St. Mary's Academy, Englewood, CO.
