Dunkin Donuts Mid-Atlantic Div


In 1986 the Dunkin’ Donuts Mid-Atlantic Distribution Center (MA-DCP) began operating as a non-profit, member owned distribution facility. This was when the company strictly purchased, received and shipped Dunkin’ Brands specked items to its initial 400 members.  But further expansion was on the cards for Dunkin’ Donuts and it grew steadily which made its franchisees realize the benefits of a cooperative and thus expanded the MA-DCP’s membership.
 
With increase in the cooperative membership, the MA-DCP moved into a new, state of the art facility located in Westampton, New Jersey in September of 2004 from where it currently supplies 1200 items from the expansive 300,000 sq. ft. location which is supported by a staff of approximately 300 employees including drivers and warehouse team. Two decades after its creation, the MA-DCP now services about 2200 members under the leadership of a franchisee Board of Directors. The elected members of the board represent the franchisees interests in the decisions made at the MA-DCP.   The Board of Directors, headed by the current chairman, Henry Roever of Scranton, P.A. and  meets twice a month with the COO, Craig Setter and the Vice Presidents to discuss issues that arise at the MA-DCP. .
 
The Dunkin Donuts Mid-Atlantic Division began servicing Baskin Robbins franchisees on May 30, 2004.  Since then, the company has come a long way and currently it supplies Baskin Robbins shops, combo and standalone, with dry and premium goods.  This has expanded the company’s services to its combo shop members and enabled Baskin Robbins standalone franchisees to participate in the MA-DCP membership program.   
 
The expansion is continuous and is in direct response to meet the growing needs of a large customer base. The company is persistent in soliciting customer feedback and encourages its patrons to ask for broader offerings and services: which its committed team is constantly striving to extend to them. This is writ large on the practical implementation of MA-DCP’s efforts as is evident from their continuous addition of new items and services that will be of cost and service value to members.  The most recent feature in this ongoing initiative is a new and greatly improved online communication and ordering program: delicious donuts now just a click away!!
