Standard Construction Company, Inc. is hot mix asphalt paving contractor and supplier in the Memphis, Tennessee metropolitan area. This locally owned 40 year old company operates three hot mix plants and five gravel pits in southwest Tennessee and north Mississippi.

Standard Construction builds asphalt jobs for federal, state and local governments, and the private sector. These jobs consist of street, road, or interstate overlays, new road construction, or road widening projects, and airport runways. Standard lays asphalt for parking lots, tennis courts, running tracks, cart paths, and walking trails for private owners and developers.

The company takes pride in its service and quality work on all jobs, and has been recognized for such work in receiving awards for quality by the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Standard is able to serve all types of projects in a timely, resourceful, and responsive manner, by gearing some crews for heavy and highway work and some crews for the private market.
 
The company crews are equipped with the best equipment available for handling the high production, high quality type or work required to lay the best roads around.Standard works as the prime contractor on asphalt overlays for federal, state, and local governmental agencies. Periodically, company works as a subcontractor on new construction or increase jobs where a dirt or bridge contractor is the prime.
 
Hot Mix Asphalt Plants Standard has committed having the most technologically advanced asphalt plants available. This allows them to produce the highest quality mix at the highest production rates.
 
Sand & Gravel Pits producing sand and gravel for the three asphalt plants, and base material and shoulder gravel for construction projects. Two pits are located in Shelby County, one in Hardeman County, one in McNairy County, one in Hardin County, and one in Desota County, Mississippi.
 
The company has recently completed an addition and renovation to the main shop facility on Raleigh LaGrange Road, doubling the amount of space for equipment repairs and maintenance. This is also the primary equipment yard from which most of the road equipment is based.
