Western States Equipment was founded in 1941 as heavy equipment industry. Stability, financial strength, fast response to market needs and focusing on long-term customer support has made Western States a nationally respected dealer. They can rent by the hour, day or week, and with 10 locations it serves its ever expanding customer base.  

Western States maintains $21.5 million dollars worth of parts inventory throughout their locations. They fulfill 86 percent of all parts orders right off the shelf, and 98 percent within 24 hours. Within 30 seconds, any of Western States' 15 branches can access their on-hand inventory. Western States has the capability to offer customer complete Caterpillar Certified Rebuilds that result in a new machine serial number and hour meter, or Custom Rebuilds. Western States offers complete welding and line boring services in their shops and in the field. Western States has the people, resources and tooling to build anything in metal to meet customer’s specifications. They have more engine dynamometers, Truck Engine PAR Dynamometers and portable PTO (Power Take Off) dynamometers than most of its competitors, combined.  

Hydraulic test benches allow them to test machine hydraulics, transmissions and torque converters in the shop. Western States has complete hydraulic cylinder repair capabilities for any brand up to 16 inches in diameter, lengths of 20 feet and retention nut torque requirements of up to 25,000 pounds. Western States repairs Caterpillar track systems, and because of their investment in tooling, most other major brands. 

  Western States has the personnel, test equipment, tooling and experience to proved complete engine, generator and switchgear service and rebuilds. Their specially equipped lube and maintenance trucks make changing oil and servicing fluids easy.  

 Western States' Product Support Sales Representatives (PSSR) has the expertise and tooling to perform on-site undercarriage inspections and measurements to help predict undercarriage life. Their custom hydraulic service (CHS) implements specific operational and diagnostic tests of the hydraulic systems to detect problems before they cause a failure.
