Robert G. Meeuwsen founded Zeeland Farm Services Inc in 1950 as Meeuwsen Produce and Grain and reorganized it as Zeeland Farm Services Inc. in 1977. Company provides a wider variety of agricultural and transportation services.
Company provides services through the following divisions: Zeeland Farm Services, Inc., Zeeland Farm Soya, LLC, Zeeland Freight Services, Inc., Zeeland Food Services, Inc. Zeeland Freight Services, Inc.'s operation includes dumps, walking floor trailers, belt trailers, hoppers, and tanks and containers hauling. Approximately 90 trucks are dispatched from their corporate office and dispatch office in DeSoto, Georgia. To meet customer growing transportation needs, they haul agricultural commodities through the different departments.
Companys Michigan office operates multi-axle dumps and walking floor trailers in the local area that hold up to 1,800 bushels of grain or 50 tons of feed commodities per load. Hopper hauling is also available. If customer prefers direct delivery to farm but require less than full truckloads, company elevator offers auger trucks that are capable of hauling several different commodities on one load. Georgia office dispatches dumps, walking floor trailers, and belt trailers that transport feed ingredients throughout the Southeast and the Midwest. They transport products that are not available to farmers, such as beet pulp thats produced in the North and citrus pulp and cottonseed that are produced in the South.
The tanks haul ZFS soybean oil, liquid fertilizer, and soy biodiesel. Separate tanks are used for each product to ensure quality. The containers haul ZFS non-GMO soybean meal and provide hauling services to those in the Midwest corridor. In addition to servicing their fleet, corporate office offers a full-service maintenance garage to meet customer truck and trailer needs. DOT inspections are available, as are truck and trailer washing services in the wash bay.
