Arnold Transportation Holds Owner Operator Summit

Arnold Transportation continued their commitment to the success of their contractors by hosting another round table discussion in West Memphis, AR. On April 7, 2005, management and owner operators met to rededicate themselves to building stronger partnerships throughout the rest of the year.

Dick Follis, Director of Fleet Development and Mike Gregerson, Executive Vice President of Operations, opened the summit by reviewing successes and examining the bright outlook for the remainder of 2005. From there, the summit focused on current needs and concerns for owner operators. Brett Wacker, Vice President of Maintenance, advised contractors about saving money on repairs and parts by using company service centers. A representative from Travel Centers of America led a discussion on what owner operators can do to curb the expense of rising fuel prices.

A successful summit left both owner operators and management satisfied that the open discussion at the meeting would strengthen partnerships. “The summit is a way we can get feedback from our contractors about where we are succeeding and in what areas we can improve. It builds a better relationship on both ends,” said Follis.

Arnold Transportation, based in Jacksonville, Florida, is currently seeking owner operators for both Regional and Super Regional runs.
